About the Job
As a Travel ICU RN, you'll provide hands-on care for critically ill patients who require constant monitoring, advanced interventions, and round-the-clock nursing support. Intensive Care Unit nurses are responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care strategies for patients with complex and often life-threatening medical conditions.
You'll care for patients experiencing severe illness, traumatic injuries, respiratory failure, cardiac events, neurological emergencies, sepsis, post-surgical complications, and other high-acuity conditions requiring intensive monitoring and treatment.
Working alongside intensivists, physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and multidisciplinary critical care teams, you'll play a vital role in stabilizing patients, preventing complications, and improving clinical outcomes.

What You'll Do
Assess, monitor, and provide care for critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized critical care plans
Monitor hemodynamic status, cardiac rhythms, vital signs, neurological status, and respiratory function
Operate and monitor ventilators, cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, and advanced life-support equipment
Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, titratable drips, and specialized treatments
Recognize and respond rapidly to changes in patient condition
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Participate in rapid response, code blue, and emergency interventions
Educate and support patients and families during critical care situations
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and regulatory compliance
Support evidence-based practices and quality improvement initiatives
Minimum Qualifications
2+ years of recent ICU or Critical Care nursing experience required
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Current BLS certification
Current ACLS certification
Strong critical care assessment and clinical decision-making skills
Experience caring for high-acuity, medically complex patients
Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure healthcare environments
Exceptional communication, prioritization, and teamwork skills
