Job Description:
This position plays an integral role in ensuring the smooth operation of healthcare facilities by providing comprehensive support to medical staff and enhancing patient care. This position involves overseeing the work of other medical assistants while also engaging directly in patient care activities. The LVN helps maintain an organized and efficient environment where medical professionals can focus on patient health. Through their leadership, they ensure that patients receive timely and compassionate care. This position will be primarily assigned to a work location but may also float as needed to various CAMG Health clinic locations. This position may require you to work different shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Clinical duties include escorting patients to exam rooms, taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examinations, assisting in procedures, and other duties as directed by the office manager and physician.
Administrative support to the providers and interacts with patients by scheduling patient appointments in tandem with the provider availability, manage in-basket and incoming faxes, interacts with patients in person and on the phone, answers clinic phone, collects patient information, updates/maintains electronic records, patient prior authorization for medication and referral processing. This position primarily serves as a Float Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN). The role requires travel to various CAMG Health clinic locations, including but not limited to Redlands, Yucaipa, and Beaumont. This position may require you to work different shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
Rooming patients: Determining the chief complaint and documenting it in the patient's electronic medical record with close attention to accurate use of medical terms. Interviews patients to obtain medical information and record medical history/information, measure vital signs, weight, and height, and records information in the electronic medical record. Show patients to examination rooms and prepare them for the physician. Assisting with treatments and exams, including but not limited to minor dressing changes; suture removal; staple removal; injections. Explain treatment procedures, medications, diets, or physicians' instructions to patients. Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and procedures, keeping the rooms neat and clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
Monitor messages in EMR in-basket: Answer in-basket messages, prepare charts for upcoming appointments. Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording and updating personal and compliance information into the EMR. Assists providers and patients with access and navigation to the patient portal.
Medication Administration: Prepare and administer medications under the supervision of a physician or LVN. In tandem with physicians, authorize drug refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies.

Pay: $28.00 - $34.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
