Salary:
$1,750 per Week
Qualifications:
Current RN license in Washington
Current First Aid or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR/BLS) certification
Prior professional nursing experience, preferably in school and/or pediatric nursing.
Must have the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time; see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; and the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; May include frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to approximately 25 pounds and occasional lifting of equipment and/or materials weighing up to approximately 40 pounds may be required.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one nursing support to a student with significant medical and developmental needs.
Work directly with the family of student in need of 1:1 nursing care to administer personal medical care, including transportation, and any school medications.
Conduct health assessments and screenings to identify health concerns and provide appropriate interventions.
Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans.
Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and school policies.
Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid as necessary.
Maintain accurate and confidential health records for all students.
Educate students, staff, and families on health-related topics, including illness prevention, nutrition, and hygiene.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to address health concerns and promote a healthy school environment.
Stay up to date on current nursing practices, regulations, and guidelines related to school health services.
