Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Location: Scottsbluff, Nebraska
Schedule: Full-Time or Part-Time, Hourly
Pay: $17.50+, DOE

Emerald Court is a dedicated memory care community serving individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. We are looking for compassionate, dependable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) who want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents.
As a CNA at Emerald Court, you’ll provide hands-on care while helping residents maintain their dignity, independence, comfort, and quality of life. You’ll become part of a close-knit team that values kindness, patience, teamwork, and treating every resident like a person—not a diagnosis.
What You’ll Do
Provide personal care and daily living assistance based on each resident’s needs.
Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, meals, mobility, and transfers.
Provide compassionate support to residents living with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.
Observe and report changes in residents’ physical, emotional, and behavioral condition.
Assist with repositioning, mobility, and maintaining a safe environment.
Support medication aides and nursing staff as directed.
Follow individualized care plans and established safety procedures.
Build positive relationships with residents and their families.
Participate as part of a team to provide consistent, high-quality care.
Maintain resident privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
What We’re Looking For
Current Nebraska CNA certification in good standing.
Previous experience in memory care, dementia care, assisted living, or long-term care is preferred, but not required.
Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to care for older adults.
Dependability and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
Ability to safely assist residents with mobility, transfers, and other physical care needs.
Qualifications
Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant, recognized by the State Board of Nursing.
Ability to pass a criminal background check, including abuse & neglect
Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and senior care best practices.
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or memory impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease is advantageous.
Proficiency in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic or Cerner; familiarity with EHR systems is a plus.
Certifications in CPR and First Aid are required; additional training in hospice care or acute care is beneficial.
Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and maintain physical stamina for long shifts involving manual handling tasks.
Strong communication skills combined with a compassionate caregiving approach that respects resident dignity and promotes quality of life.
