About This Position

This isn't a hospital shift. It's not a clinic. It's the open road, a study that matters, and a schedule that's different every week.

We're placing one experienced RN on a mobile clinical research team supporting a neurology-focused clinical trial across the Northwest. You'll travel directly to participants' homes throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and California.

Forty hours guaranteed. Twenty-two weeks. Full travel reimbursement. And compensation that reflects what this assignment actually requires.

The Numbers

  • $60/hour
  • $2,400 weekly gross
  • 40 hours per week guaranteed after onboarding and protocol training
  • Approximately 2–4 home visits per week, with flexibility as study activity grows
  • 22-week contract
  • One position available
  • Immediate start
  • Full travel reimbursement

    Coverage Area

Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and California.

An active NLC compact RN license is required for eligible compact states. An active California RN license is strongly preferred and may be required depending on participant assignment and coverage needs.

    You're the Right Fit If:

  • You have a minimum of 2 years of RN experience
  • You have at least 1 year of pediatric nursing experience
  • You're comfortable caring for both pediatric and adult participants
  • You hold current PALS and BLS certifications
  • You're highly skilled with blood draws, including difficult sticks
  • You have strong clinical assessment and patient-care skills
  • Clinical research or clinical trial experience is preferred, but strong pediatric experience and procedural skills will also be considered
  • You have a clean driving record and reliable transportation
  • You're comfortable working independently in participant homes
  • You're flexible with changing schedules, geographic assignments, and travel needs
  • You genuinely enjoy traveling and being on the road. This role is built for a nurse who sees travel as part of the opportunity, not simply a requirement

    What You'll Do

  • Travel to participant homes throughout the Northwest for scheduled clinical trial visits
  • Perform nursing assessments and protocol-required study procedures
  • Obtain blood samples, including from participants who may be difficult sticks
  • Process and prepare specimens, including centrifuging samples when required
  • Package and ship specimens according to study requirements
  • Support pediatric and adult clinical trial participants
  • Follow study protocols, safety requirements, and clinical procedures
  • Maintain timely and accurate study documentation
  • Communicate effectively with investigators, study teams, participants, and families
  • Work independently while maintaining a high level of professionalism and participant care
  • Float between geographic areas based on participant enrollment and study needs

    What's Included

  • Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance
  • 401(k) with matching
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Referral program
  • Full travel reimbursement per assignment

    Travel Requirement

Frequent regional travel is a core part of this position.

    You should expect:

  • Frequent driving
  • Travel outside your immediate home area
  • Rural and suburban assignments
  • Winter travel
  • Mountainous terrain
  • Changing schedules and participant locations

This is not a traditional hospital or clinic-based nursing position. The RN will work directly with clinical trial participants in their homes and must be comfortable operating independently in a highly mobile environment.
