Start Date: 10/26/2026
Contract Length: 13 Weeks with possible extension
Shift: Nights – 3×12 Hours (7:00 PM–7:30 AM)
Hours: 36 Hours/Week
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – Infusion/Oncology to provide skilled nursing care in a fast-paced 28-bed acute care Medical/Surgical Oncology unit. The unit cares for adult patients receiving surgical, medical oncology, chemotherapy, biological therapies, symptom management, and palliative care.
Oncology and surgical experience are required. Candidates should have strong Epic experience and be comfortable caring for complex oncology and post-surgical patients.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult oncology and surgical patients.
Manage IV therapies, infusion pumps, central lines, PICC lines, and implanted ports.
Administer blood and blood products, antibiotics, antiemetics, corticosteroids, and other medications.
Monitor patients for oncologic emergencies, including anaphylaxis, sepsis, hemorrhage, and tumor lysis syndrome.
Provide post-surgical care and monitor patients for complications.
Perform central-line care, IV access, phlebotomy, wound care, and catheter management.
Maintain appropriate neutropenic and isolation precautions.
Provide patient and family education, symptom management, and psychosocial support.
Recognize and communicate abnormal laboratory findings.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
Float to other acute-care units within the nurse’s scope of practice.
Requirements:
Active RN license eligible to practice in Washington.
Minimum 2 years of RN experience.
Oncology experience required.
Surgical experience required.
Epic/EMR experience required.
AHA - BLS
