American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Level IV NICU position requiring 2+ years of NICU experience and a TX or compact RN license.
Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit within a Children's Hospital and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center
Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:00
Patient ratios of 1:2-4
Floating between units required
No on-call requirements
Weekend requirement of 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week period, self-scheduled
Block scheduling required
Epic EMR experience required
Active TX or compact RN license required in hand at submission
Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required
Level III NICU experience preferred given Level IV unit setting
BLS and NRP Advanced certifications required
Experience with IV therapy, arterial line management, central line care, and administration of blood products
Experience with UAC and UVC lines
Experience with neonatal emergency medications including anti-seizure meds, antibiotics, vasopressors, and steroids
Experience with ventilator management, high frequency ventilation, and nitric oxide therapy
Experience with therapeutic hypothermia and VP shunt care preferred
Experience with neonatal abstinence syndrome and seizure disorder management
Experience with phototherapy, blood glucose monitoring, and insulin administration
Experience with NEC, gastroschisis/omphalocele, and post abdominal surgery care
Invasive hemodynamic monitoring experience preferred
2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty required
Provide comprehensive neonatal critical care across a range of gestational ages including neonates under 24-28 weeks
Support developmental care and patient/family teaching initiatives
Navy scrubs required for RNs

Travelers expected to float between sister facilities within the region
Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
RTO requests must be submitted upfront; post-offer requests may not be accommodated
Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility unless applying as a local candidate
Former Providence staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
Longer than 13-week contract lengths available for candidates who desire
Experience
