About This Position
Duties:
- Provide direct patient care in the operating room setting
- Assist with surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort
- Monitor patients before, during, and after surgery
- Administer medications as directed by the surgeon
- Prepare and maintain sterile operating room environment
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth workflow
- Document medical information accurately and timely
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an operating room setting preferred but not required
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Proficient in medical documentation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong critical thinking skills
