Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to adult patients in a medical-surgical telemetry setting.
- Monitor patient conditions, communicate changes promptly, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
- Respond effectively to clinical changes and emergencies while maintaining accurate documentation.
- Support care for patients with neurological and cardiac conditions in accordance with established clinical standards.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse licensure eligible for practice in California.
- ACLS certification.
- BLS certification.
- Cerner experience required.
- NIHSS certification.
- Experience with CVA (cerebrovascular accident) patients.
- Experience with intracranial bleeds.
- Pre- and post-neurosurgery experience.
- Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills.
- Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
- Telemetry experience.
- ICU/ED experience required.
- Ventilator management and conscious sedation experience required.

Experience
- Two years of nursing experience, including two years of medical-surgical/telemetry experience; telemetry experience is preferred.
- Experience caring for stroke patients is required.
- Candidates with at least one year of relevant experience may be screened.
- Previous charge experience is preferred.
- Trauma Level I experience is preferred.
- Travel nursing experience is not required; candidates without travel experience may be considered with strong relevant experience.
