About This Position
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Locum Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner - Cardiology for our client in Washington!
Responsibilities
Provide full-time inpatient clinical care within a Trauma Level 2 setting, managing a daily volume of 18 to 20 patients per shift.
Collaborate closely on shift dynamics scheduled in tandem with another Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) provider.
Execute comprehensive inpatient cardiology care while upholding hospital stroke-certified operational protocols.
Maintain complete clinical documentation and charting utilizing the Epic EMR system.
Qualifications
Certified Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) specializing in Cardiology.
Board-Certified or Board-Eligible status.
Required certifications including ACLS, BLS, and an active DEA Controlled Substance Registration Certificate.
Active Washington state medical license or an active IMLC membership.
Schedule
Coverage Needed: December 22–28th, with ongoing coverage opportunities (minimum commitment of 14 to 21 shifts per month).
Shift Structure: Scheduled clinical hours only across varying shift rotations (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 7:00 PM – 8:00 AM, and 8:00 PM – 7:00 AM).
Call Requirements: Scheduled clinical hours only with no call requirements.
Credentialing Time Frame: 30 days.
Skills
Strong clinical proficiency in inpatient cardiology management within a high-volume critical setting.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills to work effectively alongside fellow APC providers and multidisciplinary care teams.
Proficiency with Epic EMR systems for patient charting and clinical documentation.
All travel expenses are reimbursed by our client and Orchard covers malpractice insurance with tail coverage!
