American Traveler is hiring an LPN for a Cardiology Clinic requiring 1+ year of clinic experience, EPIC proficiency, and current BLS certification.
Work in the Cardiology Clinic within the Heart and Vascular Institute
Outpatient setting treating General Cardiology, Electrophysiology, and Vascular Surgery patients with conditions such as arrhythmias, CHF, hypertension, POTS, and pre/post cath care
Average caseload of approximately 22 patients per day
Uses EPIC EMR and Omnicell for medication dispensing
Scheduled for 12-hour variable shifts totaling 36 hours per week
No weekend rotation and no on-call requirements
Possible floating within other HVI Cardiac Clinics
LPN license required if applicable
Current BLS certification required
Minimum 1 year of clinic experience required, cardiology experience preferred
Completion of a board-approved nursing education program
EPIC EMR experience required within the last 1-2 years
Knowledge of cardiac diagnoses, medication education, and pre/post-procedure patient education
Ability to identify and flag abnormal EKGs
Responsibilities may include rooming patients in addition to clinical duties
Works alongside EKG techs, Clinical Assistants, LPNs, Lead RN, Nursing Manager, MDs, and APPs
Orientation includes facility-level training plus 3-4 days shadowing a nurse on the unit
Holiday coverage required for 2 of 4 designated holidays, including the day after Thanksgiving
Time off requests must be approved through the manager
Navy blue scrubs required

First-time travelers considered only if they have at least 1 year of experience specifically in a Cardiac/Cardiovascular Clinic
Permanent staff must wait a full year before returning as a traveler
Candidates must live more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
