As a Registered Nurse specializing in Obstetrics, you will play a vital role in delivering quality nursing care and ensuring the well-being of both mothers and their newborns. You will work collaboratively with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to provide services that reflect the caring philosophy of the facility.
Complete initial nursing histories and assess patients' conditions
Develop individualized care plans for patients
Triages patient care based on symptoms
Administer medications accurately
Assess labor progression and manage induction of labor
Handle medical emergencies such as prolapsed cord and postpartum hemorrhage
Perform and interpret fetal heart monitoring
Manage pregnancy-related concerns like hypertension and diabetes
Assess newborn conditions and perform neonatal resuscitation
Monitor newborns for adverse events and intervene appropriately
Promote patient education and involvement in newborn care
Communicate effectively with the care team
Requirements for this role include:
Two-year degree in nursing required; four-year degree preferred
Wisconsin Registered Nursing license
AHA BLS within 1 month of hire
NRP within 6 months of hire
ALSO within 1 year of hire
STABLE within 1 year of hire
Intermediate Fetal Monitoring within 1 year of hire
Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
Need 2 years experience in setting
