American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Intermediate Care/Step-Down unit position requiring telemetry and post cath lab procedural care experience at a Level II Trauma Center.
Work in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU/Step-Down) of a short term acute care hospital
Day shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Patient ratio of 1:4
Cares for patients requiring cardiac drips, post cath lab procedural care, and trach/vent management
Floating required between units
Weekend requirement of 6 shifts per schedule period
No on-call responsibilities
48-hour work weeks approved
Active RN license (TX or Compact) currently in hand
Minimum 2 years of recent experience required
Epic EMR experience required
Level II Trauma Center with 379 staffed beds
Dress code requires solid navy blue uniforms or scrub attire for licensed nursing personnel
First time travelers are welcome to apply
Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state as needed
Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not be within 50 miles of the facility
Minimal RTO accommodated for this position
Experience
Telemetry, RN License, Cardiac catheterization, Experience working with cardiac care patients, Clinical information systems, Cardiovascular post-procedure care, Cardiac event monitoring
