About This Position
APRN / Nurse Practitioner – Nephrology | Dialysis Experience Preferred | Lincoln Nephrology & Hypertension, P.C. | Lincoln, NE | Full-Time
Who We Are
Lincoln Nephrology & Hypertension, P.C. is one of Nebraska's most respected nephrology practices, delivering specialized care to patients living with chronic kidney disease, end-stage kidney disease, hypertension, and related conditions. Our close-knit team of physicians, APRNs, and clinical staff is united by a shared commitment to exceptional, coordinated patient care — and we take pride in the relationships we build with our patients over time.
The Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced APRN / Nurse Practitioner to join our clinical team as a true independent provider. In this role, you'll carry your own panel of patients across our outpatient clinic and dialysis units, managing complex nephrology cases alongside our physician partners. This is a meaningful, full-scope practice opportunity — not a support role.
Dialysis experience is preferred but not required.
What You'll Do
Evaluate and manage patients with CKD, ESKD, hypertension, electrolyte disorders, anemia, and mineral bone disease
Manage hemodialysis prescriptions and coordinate care with dialysis center staff.
Prepare and educate patients approaching ESKD on modality selection and transition to renal replacement therapy
Order and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostic studies; prescribe and adjust medications
Complete clinic and dialysis visit documentation in Epic EHR with independent billing
Educate patients and families on disease management, dietary modifications, and medication adherence
Collaborate with nephrologists, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary care teams
Participate in quality improvement and care coordination initiatives
What You Bring
Active, unrestricted Nebraska RN and APRN licensure (required)
MSN or DNP from an accredited program (required)
National certification as FNP, ACNP, or specialty NP — ANCC or AANP (required)
Dialysis / nephrology experience (preferred)
Proficiency with Epic EHR and ability to bill independently under Medicare and insurance programs
Strong clinical judgment, diagnostic reasoning, and patient communication skills
What We Offer
Competitive compensation commensurate with experience
Single coverage health insurance (80% employer-paid premium), HSA with employer contribution, dental and vision (volunteer coverage), and flexible spending account
401(k) with 3% safe harbor employer contribution and profit sharing
Generous PTO accrual
Continuing education budget and support
A collaborative, collegial practice environment where your clinical expertise is genuinely valued

If you're a nephrology-experienced APRN who's ready to practice at the top of your license in a respected, established practice — we'd love to hear from you. Apply today with your resume and a brief note about your dialysis experience.
Lincoln Nephrology & Hypertension, P.C. is an equal opportunity employer.
