Your dedication will help foster a nurturing environment where patients feel valued and cared for during their recovery or daily living. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals across various care settings, including long-term care, acute hospitals, and community-based environments.

Duties

Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity.

Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Support medical teams by preparing patients for examinations or procedures, including assisting with phlebotomy and catheter care.

Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.

Document patient observations and care provided in accordance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.

Operate patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts safely to prevent injury during mobility assistance.

Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to coordinate care plans and address patient needs promptly.

Experience

Prior experience working with geriatric patients in long-term care facilities or nursing homes is highly desirable.

Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, and basic life support (BLS).

Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care is preferred.

Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR/Epic/Cerner/eClinicalWorks) systems for accurate medical documentation.

Previous roles involving hospital medicine, ICU, emergency medicine, or post-acute care provide valuable insight into acute and critical care environments.

Hands-on experience with patient transfer methods, manual handling, heavy lifting, and safe lifting practices is essential.

Knowledge of infection control practices specific to infectious disease care or hospice settings enhances your ability to deliver safe patient-centered care.

Join us in delivering exceptional patient service through compassionate caregiving! We are committed to supporting your professional growth by providing ongoing training opportunities in geriatrics, pediatric care, behavioral health, and specialized areas like Alzheimer’s or memory care. This paid position offers a rewarding career path where your skills directly impact the well-being of those we serve while fostering a collaborative team environment dedicated to excellence in healthcare delivery.
