Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for an Intermediate Care (IMC)/Progressive Care unit. The ideal candidate will have experience caring for patients requiring close monitoring and advanced nursing interventions, including cardiac monitoring, post-cardiac catheterization care, and respiratory support.
Responsibilities
Assess, monitor, and provide nursing care to intermediate and step-down patients.
Monitor cardiac rhythms and manage dysrhythmias.
Administer medications, IV therapies, and cardiac drips according to protocols.
Provide post-cardiac catheterization care, including sheath removal and TR Band management.
Care for patients with conditions such as CHF, NSTEMI, atrial fibrillation, sepsis, pneumonia, COPD, renal failure, and stroke.
Manage central lines, PICC lines, and other vascular access devices.
Provide respiratory care, including BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow oxygen, and tracheostomy/ventilator care.
Respond to emergencies and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Float between units or nearby sister facilities as required.

Requirements:
Active RN license; a valid compact license must be in hand at submission when applicable.
At least 1 year of required nursing experience; 2+ years of Progressive Care, Intermediate Care, or Step-Down experience preferred.

NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
