Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in a stepdown unit, including monitoring and reassessing patient status
Administer prescribed medications and therapies, evaluate responses, and document in the electronic health record
Manage clinical equipment and therapies (telemetry, IVs, infusion therapies, and other modality supports) as ordered
Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary team to develop and update the patient care plan
Ensure patient safety, comfort, infection prevention, and timely discharge planning; educate patients and families as appropriate
Document accurately, communicate changes in condition, and advocate for appropriate escalation of care
Requirements
Active Registered Nurse license
Experience in stepdown or closely related acute care setting preferred
Availability to work evening shifts (8 hours)
Willingness to participate in a travel assignment (temporary/PRN)
Strong clinical judgment and effective communication within a multidisciplinary team
