Searching for an LPN/RN who is time efficient, enjoys working with the elderly, and pays attention to detail.
Supervising nursing staff and assigning duties
Managing patient care and ensuring adherence to healthcare regulations and standards
Communicating with doctors and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care
Overseeing patient admissions, transfers, and discharges
Managing the nursing unit, addressing issues or concerns that arise during their shift
Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care
Provide education and support to patients and their families
Maintain and enforce infection control and safety standards
Other duties as assigned
A charge nurse ensures that every patient receives appropriate and safe care throughout their shift. This can involve:
Assessing patient needs and making clinical decisions
Monitoring patient conditions and responding to changes
Coordinating treatment plans and ensuring correct execution
Assisting with admissions, transfers, and discharges
Collaborating with physicians and other members of care teams to refine care strategies
Administering medications and procedures as needed
Ensuring smooth shift transitions by briefing incoming shifts about patient status and any ongoing issues
Facilitating communication with physicians, specialists, and ancillary staff
Informing families about status changes
Documenting significant events
