Licensed Practical Nurse Job Responsibilities
Assisting patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and providing compassionate, individualized care
Administering medications and treatments according to provider orders and facility protocols
Assisting patients with ambulation, transfers, and range-of-motion exercises
Monitoring and recording vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respirations
Providing wound care and monitoring wound healing
Providing care for patients with PEG tubes and assisting with related feeding needs, as applicable
Administering infusions and monitoring patients for responses or potential complications, as applicable
Conducting nursing assessments and monitoring patients for changes in condition that may require adjustments to their plan of care, medications, or medical equipment
Completing accurate and timely clinical documentation
Performing other nursing duties as assigned within the LPN scope of practice
Assignment dependent: Capacity to act as the charge nurse on the floor for the entirety of scheduled shift.
Qualifications
Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in South Dakota, or eligibility for licensure through reciprocity or multistate privileges, as applicable.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Previous LPN experience highly preferred
Must maintain all required certifications, qualifications, and professional standards
Ability to provide compassionate, professional nursing care in a variety of healthcare settings
