1. Mandatory Requirements to Apply
Previous Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nursing experience required.
Experience caring for patients requiring progressive or intermediate-level nursing care.
Cardiac monitoring experience required.
Proficiency in managing cardiac and vasoactive drips, including medication titration.
Ability to interpret cardiac dysrhythmias and recognize changes in patient conditions.
Experience with central line care and peripheral IV line management.
Knowledge of isolation precautions and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Comfortable managing patient assignments with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio.
Must be willing to float between units based on staffing needs.
Must be available for 4x12-hour day or night shifts.
Block scheduling is not available.
First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply.
2. Roles & Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to Progressive Care Unit patients, maintaining a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio.
Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond promptly to changes in patient conditions.
Administer, manage, and titrate cardiac and vasoactive IV medications as prescribed.
Perform central line and peripheral IV care while following infection-control protocols and isolation precautions.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, maintain accurate clinical documentation, and float between units as required.
