Join Our Team as a Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialist
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics professional to join our team in Medford, OR. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about patient care and advanced sleep diagnostics to contribute to a dynamic PMMC Sleep Lab environment. Shift & Schedule
- Night Shift: 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
- Shift Hours: 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
Requirements
- Current BLS certification
- Active OR Polysomnography License
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification
- Proficient in charting using Epic system (required)
- Experience in respiratory and neurodiagnostic monitoring including:
- End-Tidal CO2 monitoring
- Cardiac abnormalities
- ECG and EEG monitoring
- O2 Saturation monitoring
- Monitoring Periodic Limb Movement (PLM)
- Polysomnography (PSG)
- Respiratory Inductance Plethysmography (RIP)
- Competent with study types including:
- Adult Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT)
- Baseline Sleep Polysomnography
- Home Sleep Test
- Proficient in staging and scoring protocols including:
- Arousal, Cheyne-Stokes, Complex Sleep Apnea, Hypopnea
- Periodic Breathing, Respiratory Events, and Sleep Stages
- Transient arousals and PSG scoring
- Experienced in titration:
- ASV, BiPAP, CPAP, VPAP, and oxygen administration
- Skilled in mask fitting for:
- Full Face, Nasal Mask, and Nasal Pillow options
- Experienced working in hospital settings
- Knowledgeable about infection control procedures and patient education
- Familiarity with medical equipment such as ResMed devices
- Previous charge experience preferred
- No travel required for this position
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct and monitor complex polysomnographic studies and neurodiagnostic testing to ensure quality and accuracy
- Perform a variety of sleep tests, including Multiple Sleep Latency Tests, baseline polysomnography, and home sleep testing
- Accurately stage and score sleep data and respiratory events according to established protocols
- Set up, fit, and adjust CPAP, BiPAP, ASV, and other respiratory devices during titration studies
- Monitor vital parameters including end-tidal CO2, ECG, EEG, oxygen saturation, and periodic limb movements throughout patient studies
- Implement infection control protocols and ensure patient safety and comfort during testing
- Document clinical data thoroughly using the Epic charting system
- Provide patient education regarding sleep study procedures and therapy devices
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active and valid Oregon Polysomnography License
- Certified Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT)
- BLS certification current and maintained
- Strong technical skills in sleep and respiratory diagnostic modalities
- Demonstrated ability to work night shifts successfully in hospital environments
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
- Familiarity with electronic health records, specifically Epic software
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly Rate: $50.00 - $59.00
