Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour night shifts
- 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
Requirements & Skills
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Experience and proficiency in Labor & Delivery nursing
- Strong assessment and clinical judgment skills related to maternal and neonatal care
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to patient safety and high-quality care standards
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for expectant mothers during labor and delivery
- Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs and respond to changes promptly
- Assist physicians and midwives during delivery and perform necessary clinical procedures
- Educate and support patients and families throughout the childbirth process
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in compliance with policies and regulations
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional labor & delivery environment
- Respond to obstetric emergencies with preparedness and skill
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse license active in the state of Nebraska
- Previous Labor & Delivery experience highly preferred
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Preferred certifications: Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and/or Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM)
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Demonstrated commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
