We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) specializing in Long Term Care (LTC) to join our team through Quick2Hire staffing agency. Shift & Schedule

Requirements & Skills

  • Current and active LPN/LVN license in the state of Wisconsin
  • Experience or willingness to work in Long Term Care (LTC) settings
  • Strong patient care skills including medication administration, wound care, and vital signs monitoring
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare team members
  • Ability to follow care plans and document accurately in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Reliable and professional with a strong work ethic
  • Basic computer skills for electronic documentation preferred

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to residents in a Long Term Care facility according to care plans
  • Administer medications safely and accurately, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
  • Perform routine assessments including vital signs and report changes in condition promptly
  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and ensure resident comfort and safety
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including RNs, physicians, and therapists to support resident health goals
  • Document all nursing interventions and resident responses in accordance with facility policies and regulations
  • Maintain compliance with infection control and safety procedures to promote a healthy environment
  • Educate residents and families as appropriate to support understanding of care plans

Qualifications

  • Valid LPN/LVN license in Wisconsin
  • Previous experience in Long Term Care preferred but not required
  • CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
