Requirements and Skills
- Proven experience as a Cath Lab Technologist or Cath Lab Tech
- Comprehensive knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures and technologies
- Ability to assist physicians during invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
- Strong understanding of sterile techniques and safety protocols
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot complex cardiovascular imaging equipment
- Excellent patient care and communication skills
- Certification in Cardiovascular Technology or relevant credential preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain all necessary equipment and supplies for catheterization procedures
- Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization and related procedures
- Monitor patients continuously and report any abnormal findings promptly
- Operate and maintain imaging and monitoring equipment with precision
- Ensure adherence to infection control and safety standards
- Document procedures accurately and maintain detailed patient records
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Cardiovascular Technology or related field preferred
- Relevant certification such as Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) is a plus
- Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a cardiac catheterization lab setting preferred
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Compensation and Benefits
