Requirements and Skills
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Wisconsin
- Proven experience in Obstetrics and Labor & Delivery nursing
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to provide compassionate care to patients and families during labor and delivery
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum phases
- Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs to identify any complications early
- Collaborate closely with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe delivery outcomes
- Educate and support patients and their families through the childbirth process
- Document all patient care activities accurately and promptly in the medical records
- Respond effectively to obstetric emergencies with calm and proficient interventions
- Ensure adherence to established protocols and safety standards within the unit
Qualifications
- Current RN license in Wisconsin
- Experience working in Labor & Delivery or Obstetrics nursing preferred
- Certifications in BLS and NRP required
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Commitment to providing empathetic and patient-centered care
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Compensation and Benefits
Hourly Rate: $66.00 - $79.00
