  • Shift: Day (3x8 Hours) — 8:00 to 16:00
  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week

  • Pay: $56.00 - $67.00 per hour

Requirements

  • Experience: 1 year of experience
  • Licensure/Certifications: BLS, WA License
  • Charting System: Preferred (Epic)
  • Travel Experience Required: No

Responsibilities

  • Provide assessment and therapy focused on speech, language, cognition, and swallowing needs across acute care, Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) (required), and skilled nursing facility (SNF) (required).
  • Conduct evaluations and develop Plan of Care with clearly defined Short Term Goals.
  • Perform and document therapy interventions including AROM/AAROM/PROM and ongoing progress toward functional goals.
  • Support patient safety through patient family education (required) and safety and injury prevention (required).
  • Perform pain assessment and monitor sensory response (required).
  • Assess and support functional mobility using appropriate adaptive devices (required), assistive devices, and required equipment.
  • Complete required documentation including Evaluation, Assessment, Plan of Care, Short Term Goals, Time Management, and Discharge (required).
  • Use Home Exercise Program (required) and reinforce continuity of care.

Assessment & Clinical Focus

  • Evaluate arousal and attention (required) and apply cognitive strategies as appropriate.
  • Perform strength testing and assess body mechanics (required).
  • Identify environmental barriers and address vital sign monitoring.
  • Assess skin integrity.
  • Support therapy plans for the following specialty areas:
  • Cardiopulmonary (required), geriatics (required), neurology (required), and orthopedics (required).
