Position Details

• Hourly Pay: $56.00–$67.00

Responsibilities

• Provide speech-language therapy across required work settings including Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) and Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), as well as acute care.
• Conduct assessments that include arousal and attention, sensory response, and adaptive approaches using required adaptive devices.
• Perform evaluation and ongoing care planning using AROM/AAROM/PROM and strength testing where appropriate.
• Support mobility and function through required assistive/therapy equipment use in coordination with the care team.
• Deliver and document discharge planning and short term goals as part of the required therapy documentation set (assessment, discharge, evaluation, plan of care, and short term goals).
• Use strong time management to complete required documentation (including assessment, evaluation, plan of care, short term goals, and time management).
• Monitor and address patient needs including pain assessment, vital sign monitoring, and sensory response.
• Apply safety practices for injury prevention and patient/family education to support treatment continuity.

Requirements

• 1 year(s) of experience (Speech Language Pathologist)
• WA License
• BLS certification
• Charting system: Preferred Epic
• Work setting experience/comfort in Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) (required) and Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) (required)
• Adaptive devices (required)
• Bed alarms (required)
• Compression devices for lymphedema (required)
• Crutches (required)
• Hospital beds/Specialty beds (required)
• Hoyer lift (required)
• Lower extremity prosthetics (required)
• Rolling walker (required)

• Experience with neurologic conditions including cognitive disorders (required), concussion (required), dementia/Alzheimer’s (required), multiple sclerosis (required), muscular dystrophy (required), nerve palsy (required), Parkinson’s disease (required), post stroke rehabilitation (required), spinal cord injury (required), and traumatic brain injury (required)
• Orthopedic experience including gait training (required), hip fractures/injuries (required), knee injuries/tendinopathy (required), lower extremity amputations (required), low back pain (required), osteoarthritis (required), post op cervical surgery (required), post op shoulder repair (required), post op spinal surgery (required), prosthetic training (required), total hip replacement (required), and total knee replacement (required)
• Required professional skills: Home Exercise Program (required), patient family education (required), safety and injury prevention (required), and medications (required)
• Evaluation/assessment focus includes identifying environmental barriers and managing sensory response (required)
