Requirements

  • Experience: 1+ year(s)
  • Patient ratio experience: 1:1
  • Travel experience: Yes
  • Certifications: BLS
  • Charting system: Preferred (Epic)

Responsibilities

  • Provide pediatric speech-language therapy across diagnoses including autism, birth defects, developmental delays, fluency, language disorders, and mental, behavioral, and neurodevelopmental disorders
  • Support voice and dysphasia management with oral motor interventions
  • Deliver and document assessment, evaluation, and concurrent therapy/treatment
  • Complete SLP evaluation coding and maintain accurate billing/documentation records
  • Use alternative communication devices and provide augmentative communication support as needed
  • Utilize evaluation tools including CELF (Clinical Evaluation of Language Fundamentals) and PLS-4 (Preschool Language Scale)
  • Provide patient and family education to support care plans
  • Recognize and respond to signs & symptoms of physical, sexual, and psychological abuse according to safety protocols
