Join our team as a Speech Language Pathologist in Lubbock, TX for a 13-week travel/contract assignment. You’ll provide day-shift coverage (5x8, 8:00–16:00) with guaranteed 36 hours/week while supporting patients across acute and rehabilitation settings.

Requirements

  • Acute Care Experience: 1 year of acute care experience is required
  • Outpatient Clinic Experience: Required
  • Rehabilitation Hospital Experience: Required
  • Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Experience: Required
  • Charting System: Required — Epic
  • Certifications: BLS

Responsibilities

  • Perform assessment, evaluation, and discharge documentation
  • Deliver patient care across acute care, outpatient, rehabilitation, and SNF environments
  • Provide gait training and support mobility goals using appropriate safety practices
  • Support body mechanics and patient training needs
  • Develop and teach Home Exercise Program and provide patient family education
  • Use required equipment and devices to support therapy sessions (e.g., bed alarms, call lights, gait belt, hospital beds/specialty beds, sliding boards)
  • Provide therapy for patients with neurology and orthopedics needs
  • Prepare documentation that meets clinical and billing requirements (including commercial, Medicaid, and Medicare A)

Clinical Focus & Patient Population

  • Orthopedics (Required): Cervicalgia, low back pain, spinal conditions
  • Conditions and diagnoses may include: cervical/lumbar issues, post-op cervical surgery, post-op shoulder repair, post-op spinal surgery, spinal cord injury-related rehab needs, total hip replacement, total knee replacement, gait training, hip fractures/injuries
  • Neurology (Required): Cognitive disorders, Multiple Sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, Parkinson’s disease, post-stroke rehabilitation, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury
