About This Position
Location: Pine Ridge, South Dakota
Pay: $85.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, five 8-hour shifts
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to provide surgical nursing services.
The OR RN will provide direct patient care within the Surgery Department, support safe and efficient surgical procedures, and help maintain continuity of care during staffing shortages. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment and collaborating with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, technicians, and other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care before, during, and after surgical procedures
Prepare and maintain sterile operating rooms and surgical equipment
Perform and document surgical timeouts and required safety checks
Administer medications in accordance with provider orders and facility policies
Perform venipuncture and other clinical nursing procedures
Monitor patients and provide appropriate postoperative care
Maintain accurate and timely patient records
Follow infection-control, medication-administration, and patient-safety standards
Participate in quality assurance and performance-improvement activities
Complete all required facility orientation and training
Collaborate effectively with the surgical care team
Float to other clinical departments when required by patient-care needs
Required Qualifications
Current, unrestricted RN license issued by any U.S. state or territory
At least one year of nursing experience in a surgical services or operating room department
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
Ability to satisfy federal facility credentialing and onboarding requirements
Strong clinical documentation, communication, and teamwork skills
Compensation
$80.00 per hour
Full-time schedule of approximately 40 hours per week
