About This Position
Overview
Operating Room Nurses (OR RNs) care for patients before, during, and after surgery and assist the surgeon in procedures. The OR RN provides direct and individualized care to patients. OR RN job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications
Coordinate with medical team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
Create and maintain a sterile and safe surgical environment
Conduct pre- and post-operative education
Requirements
Active, valid RN license in the state of practice (or compact RN license).
BLS certification required.
Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in OR/Intraop within the past 12 months
2 years of RN experience
