About This Position
DO NOT APPLY IF YOU ARE NOT A LICENSED APRN IN SOUTH DAKOTA.
We are looking for a compassionate Advanced Practice Registered Nurse to join the My Marijuana Cards Team in Rapid City to provide medical screening of patients seeking medical cannabis certification.
In order to achieve this, the practitioner's role is to streamline the process for medical cannabis patients to receive their medical cannabis certifications. The scope of this work for this healthcare provider includes, but is not limited to the following:
Completing physical patient examinations
Verify that patients suffer from a state-approved qualifying condition for medical marijuana
Simple EMR Charting
Provide a recommended treatment plan for qualifying patients
Completing the patient medical cannabis recommendation and validating for one full year. (This is NOT a medical marijuana prescription. Since marijuana is classified as a Schedule I Drug, medical marijuana prescriptions are illegal in most states)
Performing any necessary follow-up consultations within the full one-year validation period of patient certification
Inform patients of the risks associated with medical cannabis use
Remaining up-to-date on the state’s medical cannabis program regulations
Flexible hours - Set your own schedule
Patient appointments are booked via our website and call center based upon our practitioners’ availability. Those patients are then seen for an in-person evaluation by the practitioner at our Rapid City office
Requirements
Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)
MUST BE CURRENTLY LICENSED in the State of South Dakota
No prior punitive infractions on your ability to recommend controlled substances.
Unrestricted DEA license
