About This Position

Full-Time Medication Aide – Overnight Shift

Position: Full-Time Medication Aide
Location: Countryside Senior Living, Mitchell, SD
Wage: Starting at $19/hour or DOE
Schedule: Full-Time | Overnight Shift (10:30 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.)

Job Summary

Countryside Senior Living is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and self-motivated Medication Aide to join our overnight team. This position plays an important role in providing residents with safe, attentive care throughout the night, including medication administration, personal care, responding to resident needs, and preparing for the day ahead.

Our overnight Medication Aides must be comfortable working independently and making good decisions while also knowing they have the support of our nursing and care team when needed.

Key Responsibilities

Administer medications accurately and on schedule according to physician orders and facility policies

Assist residents with activities of daily living, including dressing, showering, and personal care

Respond promptly and compassionately to resident calls for assistance

Observe residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to nursing staff

Complete required medication and resident care documentation accurately

Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties during the overnight shift

Assist with preparing the community and residents for morning routines

Maintain resident dignity, privacy, and confidentiality

Follow all infection control, safety, medication administration, and resident rights policies

Communicate effectively with nursing staff and other team members to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

South Dakota Medication Aide credentials preferred; we are willing to train the right candidate

High school diploma or GED required

Dependable, responsible, and able to work independently

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Compassionate and respectful when assisting residents

Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 – 40.0 per week
