About This Position
We are looking for an experienced, compassionate, and dependable Registered Nurse to join our Pre-Op team Full-Time. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced surgical environment with orthopedic, neurosurgery (adult and some pediatric), and ENT patients while providing exceptional preoperative care and patient education.
This schedule would be on a rotating, 40 hour one week, then 32 hour one week basis working from 5:30a.m. to 2:30p.m. No weekends, holidays, or on call!
Candidates should be team-oriented, adaptable, and dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care while ensuring a positive surgical experience.
Pay range for this position starts at $36/hour & built based on experience.
Responsibilities:
Deliver the highest quality nursing care in a non-judgmental and non-discriminating manner, sensitive to patient needs
Contribute to the team-oriented environment by demonstrating cooperative, constructive, problem-solving interaction with coworkers
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care of pre-op patients
Coordinate post-op care with Phase II/Recovery Care Department
Requirements:
Current licensure as an RN in the State of Nebraska
Current BLS certification (ACLS, and PALS certifications preferred as well)
At least two years of med/surg, acute care, or other nursing experience
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs frequently, push/pull up to 25 lbs frequently; frequent standing, bending, stooping, and repetitive motion to hands/wrists.
