About This Position
Overview
Our rheumatology infusion clinic is seeking a skilled and compassionate Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on a part-time/per diem basis. We specialize in providing high-quality care to patients receiving complex therapies. This position offers a highly flexible 2-day work week (approximately 16 hours), making it an excellent opportunity for work-life balance. While our current clinic need is for Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, we are entirely open to adjusting these specific days and hours to accommodate the right nurse's personal availability.

Responsibilities
Coordinate, prepare, and safely administer intravenous medications and therapeutic infusions.
Manage inventory by ordering clinic supplies and infusion medications to ensure seamless daily operations.
Monitor patients closely during infusions to identify, document, and manage potential adverse reactions.
Establish and maintain reliable peripheral IV access on a diverse patient population.
Provide clear, empathetic patient education regarding their chronic conditions and infusion treatments.
Maintain meticulous clinical documentation using our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Collaborate closely with clinic rheumatologists and staff to optimize patient care and safety.
Qualifications
Licensure: Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
IV Clinical Experience: Must have hands-on, recent IV insertion and management experience within the past 2 years (Required).
Specialty Knowledge: Prior experience with biologics or rheumatology medications is preferred but not required (we are happy to train the right candidate).
Skills: Excellent peripheral line placement skills, strong clinical judgment, and a warm, patient-first bedside manner.
