About This Position
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Technician for one full time evening shift, one part time evening shift and one full time day shift to join our team at an assisted living community. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing quality healthcare services to residents, ensuring their well-being and comfort. This position involves assisting with daily health-related tasks, monitoring residents’ health status, and supporting the healthcare team to deliver personalized care in a respectful and professional manner.
Duties
Assist residents with daily activities related to their health and wellness needs, including medication administration under supervision, vital sign monitoring, and basic medical procedures.
Observe and document residents’ health conditions, reporting any changes or concerns to the healthcare team promptly.
Support residents with mobility, hygiene, and other personal care tasks as needed.
Maintain a clean and safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards.
Collaborate with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive resident care.
Follow all facility policies and procedures related to resident safety, confidentiality, and quality standards.
Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with healthcare best practices.
Experience
Prior experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably within assisted living or long-term care communities, is preferred but not required.
Basic knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and medication management is advantageous.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
Compassionate attitude with a commitment to providing respectful and dignified care.
Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately and maintain meticulous documentation.
Must have current CNA or HCA license
