Duties
Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients in medical-surgical units, including routine assessments and vital sign monitoring.
Administer medications and treatments accurately, including IV infusions and injections, following strict aseptic techniques.
Perform clinical procedures such as suturing, catheterization, tube feeding management, and wound care with precision.
Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic and Cerner to document patient information thoroughly and accurately.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans aligned with patient needs.
Conduct patient education on medication management, discharge instructions, and health coaching strategies.
Respond swiftly to acute pain or emergent situations using critical care protocols and emergency response procedures.
Qualifications
Valid nursing license with current registration; experience working in hospital or acute care settings preferred.
Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner; familiarity with ICD-10 coding is a plus.
Experience in medical-surgical nursing, including trauma medicine, ICU experience, or Level I/II trauma center background preferred.
Skills in complex clinical procedures such as IV insertion, phlebotomy, ventilator management, and aseptic technique.
Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medication administration protocols.
Prior experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, behavioral health, or individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
Strong critical thinking skills combined with excellent communication abilities to ensure optimal patient assessment and safety.
