Shift: Nights | 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
Schedule: 3x12s | 36 Guaranteed Hours/Week

Position Overview
Seeking a Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for an acute Behavioral Health Unit caring for adult patients with a variety of psychiatric and behavioral health diagnoses. The RN will provide medication administration, assessments, rounding, crisis intervention, discharges, diabetes management, breathing treatments/inhalers, and occasional wound care.
Requirements
Active RN license
Minimum 1 year of psychiatric/behavioral health experience
BLS required
CPI required
Must be comfortable working with 4-point and chair restraints
Open to first-time travelers
BSN not required
Unit Details
18-bed Behavioral Health Unit
Patient population: Adults 19+
Common diagnoses include schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, anxiety, depression, suicidal/homicidal ideation, substance use, detox, borderline personality disorder, eating disorders, and geriatric psychiatric conditions
IPU: 10 beds, 2 RNs + 1 tech
PPU: 8 beds, 1 RN + 1 tech
Charge RN available 24/7
No IVs or telemetry on the unit
RT available as needed
Typically no floating to other hospital departments; may occasionally be utilized as a 1:1 sitter
Every 3rd weekend requirement (Friday–Sunday)
Travelers may be able to request block scheduling
RN staff wear navy blue
Cancellation Policy: 3 shifts per 13-week assignment
Radius Rule: 45 miles
Pay: From $2,392.00 per week
