Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility support
Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as toileting, feeding, and medication reminders
Support clients with mobility transfers using patient transfer methods and equipment like Hoyer lifts or gait belts
Administer medications following medical instructions while adhering to home healthcare regulations and HIPAA confidentiality standards
Provide specialized dementia and Alzheimer’s care, including memory care techniques and behavioral support strategies
Maintain a clean and safe environment through light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
Experience
Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home healthcare agencies preferred
Demonstrated ability to work with geriatric patients or individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia
Knowledge of medical terminology, catheter care, wound management, and end-of-life care practices
Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families while maintaining patient confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines
Hands-on experience with patient transfer methods and mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts or gait belts
