About This Position

Badlands Behavioral Health Clinic is seeking a Registered Nurse in Dickinson, ND.

Sign on bonus minimum $10,000

As a Registered Nurse within the Psychiatric Services Team at the Behavioral Health Clinic and the Residential Crisis Center, you will practice the full scope of registered nursing with a focus on mental health and substance use treatment services. Responsibilities include providing comprehensive nursing assessments to support and implement treatment recommendations, managing behavioral health medications and coordinating care with patient's medical providers. The registered nurse will deliver patient-centered care, including education to promote understanding and engagement in treatment, and provide timely emergency interventions to patients experiencing crisis. The role emphasizes minimizing mental, emotional, physical, and behavioral distress while supporting patients in managing their conditions and working toward meaningful, functional lives. Registered Nurses function as integral members of an interdisciplinary, team-based model of care, collaborating with providers and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care across the Behavioral Health Clinic and the Residential Crisis Center.

Job Type: Full time - Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM

Environment: Outpatient and Residential Crisis Center

To thrive in this position, you must be committed to the behavioral health specialty with a willingness to research new treatment options, to partner with patients at their level and to consider solutions that maximize the patients' opportunities for success.

To be considered for the Registered Nurse position, you will be required to have a licensure as a Registered Nurse by the North Dakota Board of Nursing and one year of work experience as an RN. North Dakota licensure is a condition of employment, and the employing agency will verify and document licensure.

This position requires a valid driver's license and successful completion of the assigned defensive driving course during new-hire orientation.

Location

This position provides essential client services face to face and therefore the person in this position needs to be able to travel to meet clients at their location.
