Beds: 8 LDRP/Antepartum beds
Census: Average patients/day:
Minimum Years of Experience required: 2 years of experience
Will you accept a first-time traveler: Upon review
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
L&D patients > 35 weeks, GYN surgeries, antepartum, postpartum
Patient Ratios:
Laboring: 1:1
Couplets/Antepartum/Surgical: 1:3
Required License, National Certification, Certs: BLS, NRP, FHM
Skills required:
Experience with above patient types, NSTs, triage patient, postpartum and newborn assessments/care, nursery care
Support within the Department:
Charge RN takes patients as needed
RN draws blood
FHM at bedside and nurse s station, no tele
Resource RN
RRT
OB MD has a 30-minute call back time
Technology/Equipment:
EMR: EPIC
IV Pump: Alaris
Med dispensing: Pyxis
Unit specific equipment:
Floating: If yes, where:
Could float to inpatient units to act as a sitter or in a CNA role
Orientation (facility and unit) :
NEO
At least one shift to learn flow

Weekend rotation: Every other
