Our company is a small business in Shell Lake, WI. We provide high quality short term rehab and longterm care to people in our community.
We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse to oversee the day-to-day operations of our long term care facility. This position will require the successful candidate to respond to patients' basic needs, and will also involve staffing, licensing and supervising employees. A passion for aiding the elderly is required for this position, as is a high degree of accuracy, good organizational skills and strong communication and analytical skills. We offer opportunity for 8 hour shifts or we have a blended 13.5 hour shift that gives you fulltime working only 5 days in 2 weeks
Responsibilities:
Demonstrate knowledge of basic nursing concepts and practices, including the care of patients with various illnesses, injuries and disorders.
Demonstrate knowledge of basic medical terms and oral medication administration.
Demonstrate a commitment to professional development in the nursing industry.
Participate in required continuing education courses.
Participate in required training courses.
Deal with short-term emergencies such as anaphylactic reactions, cardiac arrest, or blood loss.
Provide care to patients with a comprehensive knowledge of nursing procedures and to monitor patient progress during post-operative recovery period.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: Up to $37.00 per hour
