Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and demonstrate exceptional patient care skills. This role involves working in a home care setting. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Duties
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Monitor patients' vital signs and report any significant changes to the healthcare team.
Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management and treatment options.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals in the delivery of patient care.
Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Perform various nursing procedures such as IV insertion, catheterization, suturing, and wound care.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to NCQA standards.
Assist in triage and emergency situations, providing critical care as needed.
Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance nursing skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing and currently licensed in the state(s) in which practicing.
Two (2) years' nursing experience, preferred.
Acceptance of philosophy and goals of this Agency.
Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgement.
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and infection control procedures.
Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and team members.
