About This Position
Hub City Allergy & Asthma is a new solo allergy and immunology practice opening in Lubbock this November and is hiring its founding LVN to lead our immunotherapy program. This is an opportunity to help build the shot room and clinical protocols from day one, working closely with Nicole L. Welch, MD, rather than being one of a dozen nurses in a hospital system.

The candidate needs to have an active Texas LVN license, possess 1–2 years of clinical experience, and have prior authorization experience. This position offers an engaging environment where patient safety and quality care are top priorities.
Responsibilities
Provide injections and monitor patients following AAAAI/ACAAI post-injection guidelines to ensure safety during allergy treatment procedures.
Respond promptly to adverse reactions by maintaining the crash cart and epinephrine stock, and providing immediate care as needed.
Manage prior authorizations for treatments and medications, ensuring timely processing to facilitate patient care.
Respond to patient portal messages and refill requests efficiently to support ongoing patient needs.
Maintain CPR certification and stay prepared to respond to emergency situations, including anaphylaxis.
Cross-train on additional clinical tasks including skin prick testing, spirometry, scheduling, and insurance verification to support clinic operations.
Skills
Valid active Texas LVN license with current certification required.
1–2 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting, preferably with allergy or vaccination services.
Prior authorization experience is highly desirable.
CPR/ BLS certification is required to ensure readiness for emergency response.
Strong communication skills for interacting with patients and team members effectively.
Ability to follow detailed protocols and safety guidelines diligently.
