Job Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality nursing care in the Labor & Delivery unit, ensuring patient safety and comfort during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.
Work closely with obstetricians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care.
Assist with labor and delivery procedures including fetal monitoring, IV placement, administering medications, and epidural management.
Monitor patient and fetal status throughout labor and delivery, documenting vital signs and relevant data accurately.
Provide education and emotional support to patients and families, explaining the labor and delivery process, pain management options, and newborn care.
Respond to emergency situations in a calm and professional manner, assisting with rapid interventions as necessary.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulations.
Work closely with our agency support team to ensure smooth communication and ongoing success in the position.
Qualifications:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of WA.
BSN preferred, but not required.
Minimum of 1-2 years of Labor & Delivery experience or equivalent clinical experience.
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) preferred.
Strong experience with fetal monitoring, labor support, and postpartum care.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on patient education and family support.
Ability to work under pressure and in high-stress environments while maintaining calm and professionalism.
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
