Clinical Research Coordinator

Location: 311 E 14th Street, Sioux Falls, SD 57104
Employment: Full Time
Work Setting: 100% In Person
Compensation: $27.00 to $33.00 per hour

This position requires a strong medical background and hands on clinical experience. Applicants without relevant medical experience will not be considered.

We are seeking candidates with training and experience as an LPN, LVN, RN, Medical Assistant, or in a comparable clinical role. Applicants must be proficient in medical terminology, medication review, medical record review, venipuncture, blood specimen collection, administering injections, and related medical procedures.

About the Opportunity

Circle Clinical is seeking an experienced Clinical Research Coordinator to support our growing clinical research program in Sioux Falls. The Clinical Research Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the day to day conduct of clinical trials while protecting participant safety, maintaining accurate study documentation, and ensuring compliance with study protocols and regulatory requirements.

This is a hands on clinical position. The coordinator must be able to review complex medical records, identify relevant diagnoses and treatment dates, evaluate medication histories, perform protocol required clinical procedures, and communicate effectively with participants, investigators, sponsors, and other members of the research team.

What You Will Do

Coordinate the day to day conduct of clinical trials from study startup through closeout.

Recruit, prescreen, schedule, and support clinical trial participants throughout their study participation.

Review medical records to identify diagnoses, treatment history, medication use, relevant dates, and other information needed to evaluate study eligibility.

Obtain and document detailed medical and medication histories.

Perform venipuncture, collect and process blood specimens, and prepare specimens for shipment according to protocol and laboratory requirements.

Administer injections and perform other clinical procedures permitted by training, credentials, site policy, and study protocol.

Coordinate participant visits and ensure all protocol required procedures are completed within the appropriate study windows.

Maintain accurate, timely, and complete source documentation and study records.

Enter study data and respond to data queries accurately and within required timelines.

Review laboratory results and promptly communicate clinically significant findings or safety concerns to the Principal Investigator.

Identify and report adverse events, protocol deviations, and other study related concerns.

Prepare for and participate in sponsor meetings, monitoring visits, audits, and inspections.

Communicate with investigators, sponsors, CROs, laboratories, pharmacies, and other study vendors.

Maintain compliance with Good Clinical Practice, ICH guidelines, FDA regulations, study protocols, and site procedures.

Required Qualifications

Relevant medical training and hands on clinical experience are required. Applicants without medical experience will not be considered.

Current or previous experience as an LPN, LVN, RN, Medical Assistant, or in a comparable clinical role.

At least one year of Clinical Research Coordinator experience.

Proficiency in venipuncture and blood specimen collection.

Experience administering injections.

Strong knowledge of medical terminology, commonly prescribed medications, diagnoses, and clinical documentation.

Demonstrated ability to review medical records and identify relevant medical history, medication history, treatment dates, and supporting documentation.

Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple studies, participants, deadlines, and competing priorities.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively while also functioning independently.

Ability to work in person at our Sioux Falls research site.

Preferred Qualifications

Current LPN, RN, or Medical Assistant license or certification.

Experience coordinating industry sponsored clinical trials.

Experience working in an electronic data capture system or clinical trial management system.

Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice, FDA regulations, and clinical research documentation standards.

Experience processing, packaging, and shipping biological specimens.
