About This Position
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Travel Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (RN) to provide expert patient care across various healthcare settings in Arizona. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in interventional radiology procedures, critical care, and advanced nursing practices. This role offers an exciting opportunity to travel between facilities, delivering exceptional care while adapting to diverse clinical environments. The Travel IR RN will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes, uphold safety standards, and support innovative interventional procedures.
Provide comprehensive nursing care during interventional radiology procedures, including pre-procedure assessments and post-procedure monitoring.
Administer medications, including Botulinum toxin treatments and other specialized injections, following precise protocols.
Assist with complex procedures such as cardiac catheterization, CT-guided interventions, and catheter placements, ensuring aseptic technique and patient safety.
Conduct thorough patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner.
Collaborate with physicians and radiologists to prepare patients for procedures, manage sedation levels, and address acute pain management needs.
Support patients with diverse needs including those in long-term care, assisted living, or memory care units; work with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health conditions.
Maintain sterile environments during procedures, ensure proper catheter care, venipuncture, and IV infusion administration.
Demonstrate proficiency in laboratory specimen collection/processing and diagnostic evaluation to support clinical decision-making.
Requirements
Current, valid RN license in the state of practice, or temporary/interim RN license, or compact RN licensure for the current state of practice.
BLS certification.
Must possess a minimum of one year of experience in an acute care hospital setting within the past 12 months, or in a physician practice or acute care setting, depending on the position and 2 years of RN experience.
Experience in the specific clinical area for which applying is desired.
Proven clinical performance competencies, validated annually.
Bachelor's degree (preferred).
Professional certification (preferred).
Additional related education and/or experience (preferred).
