American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring at least one prior travel contract and a TX or compact RN license in hand.
Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a short-term acute care hospital with 379 staffed beds and Level II Trauma Center designation
Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Patient ratio of 1:5
Every other weekend required
Floating between units and sister facilities required
No on-call requirements
Epic EMR experience required
Active TX or compact RN license required in hand at submission
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of recent experience required
At least one prior travel contract required (seasoned traveler)
Epic EMR experience required
Skills required include IV therapy/phlebotomy and telemetry monitoring
2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
Provide nursing care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients including cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management
Dress code requires solid navy blue uniforms or scrub attire for licensed nursing personnel
Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
RTO requests must be submitted upfront; limited flexibility for post-offer schedule changes
Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside more than 50 miles from the facility
Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities within the health system
Experience
Telemetry, RN License, BLS Certification, Travel nursing, ACLS Certification, Monitoring and managing IVs, Collecting samples for laboratory testing, Clinical information systems, NIHSS Certification
