American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a Level II Trauma Center requiring TX or compact RN licensure and prior emergency department experience.
Emergency Department setting within a short-term acute care hospital with 379 staffed beds
Level II Trauma Center
Patient ratio of 1:3
Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Weekend requirement of 6 weekends per 6-week period
No floating between units required
No on-call requirements
Block scheduling is approved but not required
48-hour work weeks not approved
Active TX or compact RN license required
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC
Minimum of 2 years of ER nursing experience required (hardstop requirement)
Epic EMR experience required
Position open to first-time travelers
Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state when required by the facility system
Dress code for licensed nursing staff is solid navy blue uniforms or scrub attire
Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not be within 50 miles of the facility
Free employee parking available in designated surface lots
Minimal RTO accommodated for this position
Experience
TNCC Certification, RN License, PALS Certification, BLS Certification, In-hospital emergency response experience, ACLS Certification, Clinical information systems, NIHSS Certification, Emergency medicine, Emergency room experience
