Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to postpartum patients throughout the assigned shift.
- Assess patient conditions, identify changes, and communicate updates appropriately.
- Administer medications and treatments according to orders and established procedures.
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and support continuity of care.
- Collaborate with the care team to promote patient safety, comfort, and recovery.
Requirements
- Epic charting experience is required and is a hard-stop requirement.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Current NRP certification required.
- Postpartum care skills, including care for patients following cesarean section, postpartum hemorrhage, and vaginal delivery.
- Postpartum care and procedures, including episiotomy and incision care and fundus, lochia, and perineum care.
- Medication administration experience with magnesium sulfate therapy and Pitocin (oxytocin).

Experience
- At least 2 years of nursing experience required; candidates with less than 2 years of experience will not be considered.
- Travel nursing experience is not required. First-time travelers are welcome with at least 2 years of experience in high-volume facilities and experience with minimum 1:4 ratios for couplets.
